For one very special evening, The Broome Closet invites you to step out of Broome and into the decadent cafés, salons and cabarets of Belle Époque Paris for an immersive journey into one of the world’s most mysterious and misunderstood spirits.
Welcome to The Green Hour – An Absinthe Affair.
Inspired by L’Heure Verte — “The Green Hour” — the time of day when artists, writers, bohemians and curious Parisians gathered in the cafés of late-19th-century France to enjoy absinthe, this two-hour hosted experience will take you beyond the myths and legends to discover the remarkable ritual, history, botanicals and flavour of the infamous Green Fairy.
Across the evening, you’ll be guided through four very different absinthes, progressing from an accessible introduction to some seriously distinctive French expressions:
